WVU Medicine Children’s, West Virginia's only Children's Miracle Network Hospital, is holding a Mediathon once again in conjunction with the WVU Day of Giving. As part of this extraordinary day, you have the opportunity to hear inspiring stories, participate in challenges, and help us raise critical funds to help improve the health of West Virginia’s children and women.

Why we need your support

At WVU Medicine Children’s, we believe that children and expectant mothers should never have to travel far from home to receive the best care. We are committed to building healthier futures and elevating care for all West Virginians, regardless of their ability to pay.  

When you give a gift to WVU Medicine Children’s, your donation means more than you can imagine. That’s because you’re not just giving dollars—you’re giving a smile to a hospitalized child. You’re giving support to a family who needs it most. You’re giving hope for a cure for the rarest diseases. You’re bringing new innovations to our region. You’re giving better health to thousands of children.

Give hope. Give healing. WVU Medicine Children’s mission is to see no child left untreated. That is accomplished through people just like you -- our generous supporters -- who help us purchase life-saving equipment, accomplish groundbreaking research, and support the emotional well-being of our young patients. Donate to our Greatest Needs Fund and help the women and children we treat each day.

Comfort Fund – Fund #2W921

Give a warm cup of coffee. Give a hot meal. Give a comfortable bed. An extended hospital stay can bring unique logistical challenges for families. Donating to the Comfort Fund within the Hostetler Family Resource Center ensures that families are equipped with free resources, from meal vouchers to gas cards and hotel stays. Join us as we support the needs of families throughout their journey.

Child Life – Fund #2V497 

Give a teddy bear. Give Legos. Give a smile. For many children, the hospital can be an unknown place and, at first, can bring feelings of uncertainty, stress, and anxiety. Donations to the Child Life Program brings comfort, distraction, and meaningful experiences to help children -- from infants to adolescents -- feel comfortable and safe in the hospital. When you give to our Child Life program, you’re directly bringing hope, healing, and comfort to the children we serve.
